My theology is neo-orthodox trinitarian theology of the cross with a Christus Victor view of atonement.

This blog is about theology, politics, and culture. I am a Lutheran pastor, and graduated from Wartburg Theological Seminary in 1987. I am currently serving All Saints Lutheran in Aurora, CO, but want to be clear that my remarks here are as a citizen of the USA and not as pastor of this particular church.

I've been a precinct committeeman in the Democratic Party for nearly 40 years, in three different states, and have been a member of the State Democratic Committee in two states. I was previously elected to the City Commission of Hays, Kansas, 1977-1983, and was the first protestant in the history of the city to be re-elected. I was a delegate to the Democratic National Convention in 2004.
