Good post, John. Though I was about to offer a friendly critique that one shouldn't rely on FOX for reliable transcripts. Then I scrolled down and read the comments on their site. Those are DEFINITELY worth reading. They remind me that a critical part of Jesus' ministry was the opening of eyes and ears, so that people could see and listen, even if what they saw and heard was quite foreign and strange.
I thought the speech itself was excellent. The comments were a tad on the controversial side. I think I know what he was saying, but it didn't always come through too clearly.
