Are Senators the only people in America who don't know that Supreme Court appointees will tell Senators whatever they think those Senators want to hear knowing full well that they'll do whatever they want if confirmed?
Sen. Diane Feinstein (D-CA) regarding today's Supreme Court decision striking down the District of Columbia's handgun ban:
I am profoundly disappointed in Justice Roberts and Justice Alito, both of whom assured us of their respect for precedent. With this decision, 70 years of precedent has gone out the window. And I believe the people of this great country will be less safe because of it.
