New addition to Progressive Involvement "Eye Candy" - The Dark Knight - the latest installment of the Batman franchise. However, you might say this film can stand on its own given the story and the superb acting of the late Heath Ledger as The Joker. This film is even able to slyly comment on the current state of affairs and politics without being preachy. In fact, it's rather poignant in a comic book sort of way.
One of the key aspects of Lutheran theology, and other theologies, including that of Ken Wilber, is paradox. The tale of the Dark Knight sets up paradoxical moral dilemmas and choices one after another...to the point of madness. One never knows quite what to believe or what to expect.
In most Hollywood driven machines, I can usually sense what might happen next, or who will or will not survive; but in this one it's anyone's guess...even the Joker's. But that's how he likes it.
Hat's off to the madman. So sad it killed him.
