How about using The Message for that passage? I frequently use it and modify it if it doesn't accurately reflect my perception of its "dynamic" meaning in today's language (for Southern UCC members).

Hi! Speaking of the Greek word Ekballo, it is also used when Jesus says to pray to the Lord of the harvest that He "send out" laborers! More correctly translated, Jesus is asking us to pray to God that He will "throw out" laborers into the harvest. I learned about this from a book called "The Radical Prayer" and the accompanying sermon by Dr. Derek Morris. I love learning the Greek words used in the original Scriptures...they truly add so much more depth and understanding!
