After a long meeting last evening, during a blizzard no less, Daniel Kagan was chosen the new State Representative from House District 3. About 65 of the 90+ vacancy committee were present for the meeting. Shortly before 10:00 p.m., the winner was announced and Daniel was chosen over runner-up Aaron Silverstein by a vote of 35-28.
Daniel is a native of England, but has been a citizen of the USA for over 20 years. He is a lawyer, and has been an active Democrat for many years. Most recently, Daniel was a Hillary Clinton delegate to the National Democratic Convention and legal counsel for Clinton in Colorado. He has appeared on the David Letterman show.
Daniel will replace Anne McGihon who recently resigned from the State Legislature in order to take a position with the law firm of Akerman Senterfitt. Heartiest congratulations to our newest member of the State Legislature.
