It's been a slow week on the blog-o-nets

You can tell because people seemingly can't resist posting pictures of their cats, and their thoughts on Michelle Obama's outfits.

They probably don't think it's a slow news week in Pakistan, where one of our trusty drones just killed 10 people. According to the US gov't it was a Taliban hideout but given our record there we probably took out a village wedding.

The Social Security trust fund is in trouble, and the Treasury Department and the Fed continue to dole out public money in large sums to persons unknown.

I'm reluctant to comment on the looks of women in the public eye, since they have enough problems in that department, but since Mrs. Obama has been wildly overpraised I feel I can compensate with a few unkind words. Her outfits were more tasteful this week, indicating perhaps that she is receiving better guidance, or listening to it - her own taste seems most uneven. (The late Mrs Onassis spins in her grave like a clothesdryer every time someone compares the two of them, I'm certain.) She covered her arms in the presence of the Queen, also a good sign.
