Born September 11, 2001. Killed by gun violence on January 8, 2011. Member of the Student Council at Mesa Verde Elementary School in Tucson. Featured in Faces of Hope, a book of children born on 9.11.
She loved ballet, hip-hop, jazz. She also loved animals and gymnastics and played at second base in her Canyon del Oro little League baseball team, “The Pirates”. She belongs to a family of baseball players as her grandfather was a team manager of Philadelphia Phillies at the time when they won the World Series in 1980.
Apparently her wholesome family love guns as well as baseball. Her father is on the teevee saying that her death was the price of living in a free society. (God forbid anyone should interfere with the right of homicidal nutcases to purchase assault weapons.)
I am sorry that Christina and not her dear old dad paid the price for freedom.
