I'm surprised he didn't embark on his own "ministry" right out of high school. After all, quoting scripture is the only skill needed, right?

Apparently, he went to Princeton because he wanted to pursue an academic degree. Mainline seminaries are apparently good for an academic career.

I don't know what qualifies evangelicals for the ministry, to tell you the truth.
