Apparently, the Jesus toaster was a late-breaking Christmas hit. It sells for $34.95, and, while not much of a toaster, it might have been just the thing for your favorite priest or your baptist Aunt.
“We were getting two or three thousand orders a day for a couple days there,” creator Galen Dively boasted to ABC.
Dively's company, ominously-named Burnt Impressions, also has a Virgin Mary toaster, but the Jesus toaster is by far the biggest seller.
Reportedly, the company will offer a Jean Baptiste model for French toast, and a Mary Magdalene toaster for pop tarts.
