They disagree with the heirarchy on just about everything, as yet another poll confirms. Strong majorities support the use of condoms to prevent HIV, support gay marriage, affirm individual conscience over papal teaching, and think the church hasn't done enough on the sex abuse scandal.
Not that this matters a great deal in terms of change in the church. The plutocrats of the church don't particularly care what the people in the pews think. If they have a view other than that of the heirarchy, they are simply wrong and their views are not to be taken seriously.
On a positive note, most Catholics liked their particular parish, thought they made a positive impact in their neighborhood, and gave high marks to their priests' sermons.
