Always enjoy your comments week to week, however I disagree with your perception that Hades is not hell . My reading of the Synoptics clearly put sheep and goats in their respective eternal homes precisely on the basis of their action or inaction of compassion. That, it seems to me, is quite consistent and clear in the summary of Jesus and God's Kingdom. In other words, again consistent, there are clear consequences for behaviors in this life. Historically, anyway, it seems Christendom has ran with the heaven/hell message as central to the gospels. At least Michelangelo thought so at the discretion of his patrons at the Sistine Chapel, where the final division between saved and damned adorn the entire wall behind the altar! Thanks again for your hard work!
